Let’s face it: no matter how much we want something, life happens, and we end up not getting to do what we want. This is part of life, and it will never change unless you make a conscious effort to seize the moment and live for today. The good news is that you can start living your dream life right now; all you have to do is get started!
Here are five things you can do to start living your dream life today:
1. Write Your Own FAQs
If you want to become more aware of what makes you happy in life, then write down all your personal questions about the matter and answer them in the best way possible for yourself. Here are some helpful things to consider when writing out your FAQs:
- How will you know when you are living your dream life?
- Where do you see yourself in the next five years, and what is different from now?
- Why does it matter to you that you live a happier life? What does it mean for your future, and how will it change things?
- What would your life look like if you spent today doing or being everything that brought you joy?
- How can you tell when you are living your dream life?
- What do you need to change to live this way?
- What is the purpose of your life, and how does this fit in with where you see yourself in five years?
Remember that living your dream life starts with getting in touch with your inner self. This means paying attention to how you feel about certain situations so you can act on your intuition when making decisions.
2. Trust Yourself and Act on Your Intuition
Lack of trust is one of the biggest things that holds many people back from living their dream lives. They don’t think they deserve to be happy or believe it’s impossible to get out of their current situations. You can start changing this way of thinking by practicing self-trust by following your intuition.
Intuition means trusting in what you know to be accurate, even if it defies logic or reason. To develop this skill, all you have to do is start noticing how your body feels when certain decisions are presented to you. For example, when you decide between two men for a date, does your heart pound when you think about one? Does your stomach knot up when considering another? Pay attention to how your inner voice speaks to you, and act on the decisions that make you feel secure.
Your inner self is all of the thoughts, feelings, emotions, values, and desires that exist inside of you that you have yet to discover. To get in touch with your inner self, pay attention to where your thoughts go throughout the day when you have free time.
3. Get to Know Your Inner Self

You can also try keeping a dream journal by writing down everything you remember about your dreams as soon as you wake up in the morning. As you go through this process, keep track of which activities and subjects cause your thoughts to wander and which ones keep them fixed in place.
Stop being so hard on yourself for having fears and doubts about how things will play out. Instead, try believing that everything you need is right at your fingertips whenever you reach out for it.
4. Stop Second-Guessing Yourself and Start Believing in Yourself

While you are in this process, it can be helpful to stop being so hard on yourself for having fears and doubts about how things will play out. Instead, try believing that everything you need is right at your fingertips whenever you reach out for it.
Even though this process can be complicated, it’s important to remember that even the longest journey begins with a tiny step. The next time you are considering a new friend, signing up for night classes, or asking for a raise in your paycheck, focus on why it would be beneficial to pursue this choice and recognize that everything will fall into place when it is meant to.
5. Write Down Your Goals
Knowing what you want in life and then taking steps to make it happen will allow you to live a happy and fulfilling life. To start this process, find a notebook that you can dedicate to your goals and write down everything you want for yourself. When writing these things down, make sure they are measurable so that you can see your progress as time goes on. If there is something specific you want to accomplish in the future, make it clear what steps should be taken to achieve it.
If you do these five things, you will quickly find that living your dream life is much more possible than you thought possible.
